DOCUMENTARY

It's hard to be yourself in front of a camera but that's nothing to be afraid of. I can help guide you and your clients through the interview process from start to finish. You'll look good, sound good, and feel good.

Interviewing people is both an art and a science and one that I am very good at.

My documentary work is a beautiful part of my career and one that I look forward to sharing with you as we work together.

While I was working in San Francisco I met Mike Kaney with Rockbridge Productions. Mike was impressed with my work and offered me the chance to direct a feature-length documentary about salespeople. The first of its kind. I jumped at the chance despite knowing very little about salespeople. What followed was a delightful journey around the United States as we explored the history, purpose and identity of salespeople. You can view the documentary in its entirety by clicking here.

Throughout the making of this film I was constantly reminded of the relationship between art and science in the process of conducting an interview. I always made sure that I knew my subject and their specific areas of expertise but I also took time to make sure I was calm and collected emotionally so that my subject would feel at ease with me.

In 2016, Cheetos collaborated with Goodby, Silverstein and Partners and Athena Studios on a stop-motion short film for Halloween. My assignment was to document the making of the film at Athena studios. Filming and interviewing these incredible craftsman was such a delight as they made a very fun short film for Cheetos.

The indy rock band, "Red Yeti" was my first MicroTrilogy subject. I had this idea of making three videos about a common subject that would be called a MictroTrilogy. The first video in the series was to be a short documentary about the band. These guys were so cool to let me follow them around and capture them doing their thing as well as interviewing each one of them. This is still one of my favorite film projects.

Stanley Wanlass is a very talented artist and it was my pleasure to interview him about his priceless 1927 Alfa Romeo.
